Etching probably of a Scottish scene. A Henry Fullwood (1863 - 1930) was born in Birmingham but emigrated to Australia in 1884. He was instrumental in establishing the Society of Arts in Sydney. During World War 1 he was an official Australian war artist. Fullwood exhibited at the Royal Academy on a number of occasions and also at the Paris Salon. His works are held by many leading galleries including the Australian National Portrait Gallery and the British Museum.
Oil on canvas by Jacob Kramer (1892- 1962) 58 cm x 48 cm. Jacob Kramer was born in Ukraine but moved to Leeds as a young child to escape the pogroms. He lived and worked in Leeds for most of his life. Kramer trained at Leeds School of Art and the Slade School of Fine Art. After returning to Leeds he established himself as a pre-emeinent Yorkshire artist. Sally Arnup (1930 – 2015) was an English sculptor who studied at Camberwell college and the Royal College of Art. From the 1950’s she lived, taught and worked in York. She regularly exhibited at the Royal Academy and her commissions included one for the Duke of Edinburgh’s 80 th birthday.
