Sally Arnup (1930 – 2015) was an English sculptor who studied at Camberwell college and the Royal College of Art. From the 1950’s she lived, taught and worked in York. She regularly exhibited at the Royal Academy and her commissions included one for the Duke of Edinburgh’s 80 th birthday. While best known for her bronze animal sculptures the clay heads we offer for sale demonstrate her versatility and confirm why she was recognised as one of the foremost figurative sculptors of her era. £85
Crayon portrait believed to be of a student of Robert Lee. Robert H Lee (1915 to 2007) was a major Yorkshire artist, born in Bingley who studied at the Royal School of Art. £225
Robert W Lee was a prisoner of war in Germany and witnessed the Dresden bombing. This work is one of several by the artist influenced by his wartime experiences. £275
